The Volvo 850 took over from the previous Volvo large estate models called the 240 and 740 from the 1970s and 1980s. Less boxy in style, faster in performance and road handling. It was the car that attracted younger buyers to new Volvo’s in the 1990s.
Volvo 850 are iconic “family cars” used throughout the last two decades in such Hollywood movies as ‘Ronin’, ‘The Saint’, ‘Mrs Doubtfire’ and ‘Terminator 3’ to name but a few, and many many TV shows recently such as ‘Black Mirror’, ‘Cuckoo’ and many appearances on new and current ‘Top Gear’.
This model can cover productions from 1992 upto date. Our car got a Deep Metallic Red bodywork with Black leather/Grey cloth mix upholstery. Very spacious and quiet as quiet as expected – but the rare Turbo engine and four wheel drive chassis means it’s very quick too. It has been restored to factory condition, plenty of room inside for both stars, crew and equipment inside.
